The freakiest thing happened today. Tuesday’s class was a challenge, sometimes students just want to test you out. One such student was Liam. Any way this morning Liam turns up to today’s class. So I start bagging him about coming back for more. Then Tash tells me that Liam was in fact Alex his twin brother. That was a spin out for me, completely psyched me out. Later when he said he was not born from a womb I believed him, I really think they are the product of some experiment, only kidding. |

Today we talked about the soul, what is it meant to be, what does it do and where is it situated. For example I asked one student, pointing to his hand, what is that? He answered “My hand.” This illustrates that our identity is not placed in our body. We own our body, it is our possession and we use our body to express ourselves. Talking about the soul and the body is very relevant. All the students today believed that we had a soul but as to the specifics they were not sure. So we began by drawing a diagram that represents what we believe about human beings. |

The painful game Celebrity heads takes a great degree of patience. It can be very frustrating when those guessing either don’t ask questions or repeat questions or just take ages to work out who they are. To get things going each person was aloud to pick someone in the crowd to give them a clue. The clue for Princess Dianna was ‘car crash.’ The clue for Buddha was ‘You are a religious figure.’ The clue for Jesus was ... |

Spiritual Journey Spiritual train journey One student chose a photo of people on a train to describe his spiritual journey. It was asked what it means to be on a spiritual journey. To me a spiritual journey is an adventure of discovery. I encouraged the students to explore the spiritual world. This involves trying to answer questions like; is there a God, what is that God like, how do I relate to this God, what is my place and purpose spiritually in this world. For some people it is a difficult concept to grasp because they have been taught to think only in terms of the physical world; education, job, relationships and family. Some students struggle to work out how God fits into their view of the world. |
