Philippians 3:17-4:1 - Listen to this message now or download as: MP3 True Spirituality: seeing past the obvious - Phil 3:17-4:1 A good magician does not rely on slight of hand alone; he will be the master of distraction. There is always something that captivates your attention so that the magician can make something disappear or appear out of thin air. It is so obvious that we live in the physical world that we can be tricked into believing that there is no spirituality. There are so many earthly delights that captivate us that we can easily become spiritually deaf, dumb and blind. True enlightened sees beyond this world into the next. It sees a deeper need that cannot be met by anything in this world. Feelings of guilt and of being rejected can only be dealt with by God’s forgiveness and acceptance in Christ. Feelings of not being able to measure up and be satisfied are dealt with by Christ’s gift of being made right with God. You do not need to reach God with your goodness but he reaches down to you with the goodness of his Son. To become truly spiritual you need to continue to view this earth from a heavenly perspective.
