Spiritual Pictionarydrawing of freedomDrawing of life and death

Here are a couple of drawings from our pictionary game; Life and freedom. Both are good values to have; respecting everyone right to life and to be free.

What are the things we value?

Welcome to Shakara who joined our small group today as we explored what things we valued. We all agreed that family and friends were very important to us. Most of the students believed in God and that he had some part to play in making the world.

The value of Values

Values are important because they affect the decisions that you make. I became a Christian in High School from reading the Gospel of John in the New Testament. I realised that I needed Jesus Christ to be my Lord. It dawned on me that what I valued the most was myself. I loved myself so much that I didn’t care about anyone else. My life was a mess so I asked Jesus Christ to be in charge of my life. Bit by bit I started to try to live according God’s values rather than my own. My life started to change and now I am a different person. I still struggle with pride and selfishness but I have learnt to love difficult people. This is one of the reasons I enjoy our classes because if it wasn’t for the patience of my Christian friend at school I would never have come to know the joy of walking with Jesus Christ. Now I have a much better purpose for my life in Jesus Christ. Now I have hope not only for my life but a hope that goes beyond death into everlasting life. It was very special to be able to share my spiritual journey today. Thanks class for listening and sharing.
