Tune into iGod- Micah 5:2-5, Luke 2:8-14

Nearly everywhere I go I see people walking around listening to music on their iPod.

But these people strike me as being somehow unplugged from the real world. By tuning into their music they tune out to the world around them. This is what we do to God all the time by listening to our worries and fears. We are so driven by not wanting to be a failure, or being rejected, or unhappy that we become deaf to God. The music of fear is played so loudly that we don’t hear God’s music of peace. Christmas is meant to be a time of peace and good will to all men but in reality for most of us it’s the busiest and most stressful time of the year. Christ plays a tune worth listening to, it’s about a peace that surpasses all understanding, and a spiritual peace that makes it possible to hear the music God is playing. Ask Christ to give you his peace and to allow you to tune into God so that you can hear his music. God has not given us a spirit of fear but of love, power and a sound mind (2 Tim 1:7).
