This film is an encyclopaedia on funny.

It will make you laugh using the full range of humour available to mankind. There is visual slap stick, surprise gags (most often with slugs), excellent character based humour, recurring jokes, background humour in the form of advertising billboards, aural humour, witty humour, suspense humour and gross humour. It’s a film that only skims across the top of seriousness. Just enough to keep the film grounded in some meaning and connection with the audience.

It’s like going to a banquet and enjoying a full range of satisfying dishes.

Important point

Without ever detracting from the fun this movie actually says something simple and important. You can have everything but if you don’t have family and or friends then you have nothing. Too often husbands and fathers mix their priorities so that they neglect their family and devote too much of their time and effort into work. The excuse is that they want to provide for their family but how will that work if you end up being divorced or or with kids who don't know you.

Animation

Some people have dished this film a bit because of it’s dated looking animation. My response is get over it. This film bristles with so much whit it doesn’t need nor want to look realistic.

Characters

This film works really well because of the characters. They are all interesting, including and particularly the bad guys. The French frogs are laugh out loud funny and very French.

Action

There is a lot of action scenes in this film that are really exciting and suspenseful.

I laughed so much in this film I cried and embarrassed my wife. This is a must see.
