Luke 6:19-38 Mateship, BBQs and the Kingdom of God Australians stick together, we like our BBQs and we all dream of owning our own home. Christ came with awesome power and everyone was really excited. Perhaps he was going to fulfil their dreams. Christ came to set us free from our dreams. It is our dreams that make us feel so disappointed when they are either unrealised or don’t satisfy. The values of Christ’s kingdom are the opposite of the world’s. This sets us free from having to be successful, powerful, and rich. Christ teaches that we already are those things spiritually because he has given us the Kingdom of God. the Rev
