Romans 3:19-31 and Psalm 51

Survive God's Thermonuclear Goodness

Most people admit that they are not as good as they should be, that sometimes they have done things which have been hurtful, immoral even evil. No one is totally good and totally pure. So for us to approach God would mean certain death, we would be melted in his thermonuclear goodness. No darkness, no corruptness, no evil can survive his purity. God is like a burning star that melts everything that comes close to it. Jesus Christ is like a special thermonuclear suit that enables us to be embraced by God without obliterating us. We don't have to try or pretend to be good because we never will be. Christ came to rescue us, to make us perfect in himself. We access this goodness by having faith in Jesus. the Rev

Prayer: Dear God, forgive me for turning my back on you, forgive me for denying you by meeting my own needs, wants and feelings. Forgive me for trying to change the world around me from a place of your grace to a place of my own system of good Works/Karma. Help me to truly treasure Christ’s propitiation for me and the world, for without it we can only expect your wrath. Amen
