Exodus 20:1-17

Full Colour

I love living in sunny Brisbane with blue sky above the lush green of the trees which cover my neighbour hood. I’ve met lots of people who have moved away from places which seem full of grey, bitter cold and rain. They come here to feel the warmth of the sun, to enjoy the vividness of our sunlight.

Let Jesus colour your life

There are times when the colour is drained from our world from within our own hearts. If we begin to lose hope our bright would turns to shades of grey, with sharp shadows of darkness filling much of what we see.

When we turn to that which once held light and warmth it seems that the greyness consumes the brightness. And the more we try to brighten our world the more we seem to darken it.

To restore colour to your heart and world you need to find the one who can dispel the darkness. Jesus said of himself that he is “the light of the world.” When we have Christ’s light our world will once again be filled with colour.

Living in the light means doing what pleases Jesus which is the opposite of pleasing the desires of our heart (darkness). The more we love Jesus the more we will love living because Jesus said of himself “I am the life” So loving Jesus will mean you will love your family, your friends, your community and your responsibilities. Your life will be as light to those who are lost in darkness so that they to will come to see in full colour. the Rev

Prayer: Dear God, forgive me for living for my own pleasure. Help me recognise that loving Jesus is the way that I will love life and live life to the full. Help me to be daring with my faith so that I can exercise patience, gentleness, kindness to people I would normally ignore or hurt. Open my eyes so that I can see that every good thing in my life comes from Jesus. Use me to bless other people.  This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
