An action movie with an important encouragement![]() Good vs Evil A review by Tim; age 11 Good vs EvilTransformers 2 has a lot of action in it and it is very thrilling. It is a story about the struggle of ‘Good vs Evil.’ There is a big difference between the two. Jetfire changed sides because being a decepticon was always doom and gloom, getting bossed around and getting killed. Evil is always happy to sacrifice others, the little decepticons, the humans and everyone else. While Autobots sacrificed themselves to save humans. Sam Witwicky goes to collegeSam Witwicky is going to leave home and go to college. He wanted a normal life like everybody else, so Bumblebee was to be left behind, I never knew autobots could cry. But Sam’s plans don’t work out like he wanted. The world needs saving again and he finds himself in the centre of an even bigger need and a bigger battle than before. The FightingThe fighting was more interesting because there were more autobots and decepticons. It just seemed more real. The problem was sometimes you couldn't see who was fighting and what was going on. It was good how the autobots teamed up with the humans. Characters ![]() My Hero - Optimus Prime Some of the characters in it were great. The ice-cream twins were good because they were funny and they had a good sense of humour. Megatron and the Fallen were pretty scary as well as Devastator and Demolishor. The good thing about it was that they had lots more different characters. Wheelie was a cute and funny Decepticon which ended up becoming an Autobot. Optimus Prime was especially good. Sam Witwicky was loyal to the autobots and he had faith in them. Self SacrificeSam Witwicky was willing to sacrifice himself for the autobots and earth. He ran into the middle of a battle field to save Optimus Prime, he also made sure that his parents were kept safe. Optimus Prime also sacrificed his life for Sam Witwicky when Megatron tried to kill him. I found it sad how Jetfire sacrificed himself for Prime. Jesus dies for the FallenThe willing to go into danger and even die for the sake of the earth reminded me of how Jesus came into a hostile and evil world. He only did and taught good but was nailed to the cross by the very people he came to save. Jesus came to battle against evil. The problem is that we are on the wrong side, we are the decepticons. So one way of looking at the gospel through the lens of the Transformers Film is it would be like Optimus Prime sacrificing himself for the Fallen. We are the fallen and Jesus died so that we could become autobots. InappropriateI found that there were quite a few inappropriate bits which got quite annoying. There were people wearing barely any clothes, romantic bits and more. I thought the decepticon girl was weird and her tongue was horrible. I’m 11 years and I don’t want to see that kind of stuff. I’m there for the action not the kissing, and the whole ‘I love you but you tell me first’ stuff. It was really corny. FunnySome of Transformers was funny, and some of the characters were funny. I especially liked it how the ice-cream twins were almost always fighting amongst themselves. I love the time when one called the other one ugly and was quickly reminded that they were twins. Not long after that Bumblebee smashed them together and through them out of the cave they were fighting in (which made a hole in the wall where the Prime’s were hidden). 4 StarsOverall Transformers was a great movie. There were too many inappropriate bits, the action was good, the visuals were fantastic and the message was encouraging; good triumphs over evil. Tim age 11 |
