God is like a TV....

Imagine buying a TV, bringing it home, putting it in your lounge room, connecting the surround sound but never tuning in the channels.

I’m guessing that you wouldn’t waste much time sitting in front of a screen that looks snowy grey with the sound hissing loudly. Everyone with a TV has taken the trouble to tune in the channels so that they have both picture and sound. It’s the same with God. So many people know about God, having heard of him perhaps in Sunday school, or Church or RE. But many don’t take the trouble to tune into him, to consider the world from his perspective. It’s easy to get wrapped up in our own little world and never give God much of a second thought. Let’s stop to consider carefully what God is trying to tell us in Philippians. If we give God a chance to explain himself we might find that our attitude towards him will change. Perhaps our lives will change for the better. Let’s tune into Christ and see where he takes us.
